When you need more

Allowances belong to the account, or to the team you act for, and the console shows what each product has used against them. Every product is switched on from the console itself, at its free allowance. Where a product has Pro or Business plans, the full table is on its own page; those are switched on by request — open a ticket at the Help Centre and say which product and roughly how much.

Who pays

Individuals and non-profit organisations use Orbit free of charge. Membership is for businesses and startups, and covers the running costs. Every new account starts on the free plan, which includes every product.

Subscriptions

Plans that bundle several Orbit products under one subscription are in preparation. Until then, each product's allowance is set on its own.

Questions

Does any of it cost money?

Not for individuals or non-profit organisations. Every new account starts on the free plan, which includes every product up to its free allowance, and no card is asked for. The one charge today is for calls and numbers on V-Gate's platform lines, which are paid from a prepaid balance.

Is an allowance per product or per account?

Both. Each product has its own — for example 5 zones and 50 records per zone on DNS Hosting, 1 phone system and 5 extensions on V-Gate — and it belongs to the account or team that uses it.

Where do I see what I have used?

In the console, on each product's own page, next to what it counts.

Does the public resolver count against anything?

No. The public resolver needs no account and has no allowance.
